The Heart of Roaring Lambs | Dr. Leif Hetland | LWCC

This weekend with Dr. Leif Hetland wasn’t just a message, it was an invitation into a new way of living. He began with a powerful picture of childlike faith, the kind that trusts completely, like a child jumping into a father’s arms. No fear. No hesitation. Just trust. And from that place, he led us into the heart of his message:

The Heart of Roaring Lambs. We’re called to be bold. To carry authority. To walk in power. But Dr. Hetland reminded us that true authority doesn’t come from striving—it flows from love. You can have power without love… but you can’t have authority without it. He painted a compelling picture: Jesus is both Lion and Lamb, yet in the book of Revelation, He’s revealed far more as the Lamb. Why? Because it’s the heart of the Lamb which is humility, tenderness, surrender, and that gives weight to the roar.

Without that heart, our voice pushes people away. With it, people are drawn in. 
And that’s the invitation for all of us, to become roaring lambs. To be bold like a lion, but rooted in the love of Jesus, because at the end of the day, what you behold is what you become… and what you become is what you release.
In a world filled with fear and darkness, we don’t shrink back because we’re in the light business. And perfect love still casts out fear.
